INTEROFFICE CORRESPONDENCE
August 30, 2004
Below is the updated Manorland II floating installation text to replace the existing information on the backside of carton labels. If you see anything missing or just plain wrong let me know. The current installation photo shows a T&G applicator bottle that needs to be edited out or re-shot. Other than that item, I believe the full glue and nail down portion are acceptable as written. Additionally, all references to Manorland need to be changed to Manorland II:
Manorland II Installation Instructions
Floating Method:
Photo of pull bar on flooring (Edit out the glue bottle in the Photo)
Subfloors: any grade level, any clean, dry, smooth and structurally sound surface. Roll out NobleHouse underlayment, overlapping the poly barrier as recommended.
Note: Manorland II does not require the use of tongue and groove adhesive.
Prior to installation, pre-plan where each plank will be cut. Begin installing planks using spacers cut from scrap or use flooring shims to maintain a minimum ½ expansion space around the entire perimeter of the installation. The minimum length of any piece should not be less than 12 in length.
Begin by positioning the plank flat on the floor with the tongue facing away from the starting wall. Gently tap each plank into place using a tapping block and mallet. You may hear an audible click when the glueless tongue and groove milling engages. Never strike the edges of the flooring directly with a mallet or hammer.
